The Investigation Unit's mandate is to receive, register, assess, investigate and make report on the complaints that it investigates. The Investigation Unit is divided into three teams. The teams and their roles are as follows:
Receipt and Preliminary Assessment Team (RAPA)
The Receipt and Preliminary Assessment Team is responsible for receiving, registering and assessing complaints.
Compaints Based Investigation Team (CBI)
The Complaints Based Investigation Team is responsible for investigating complaints received.
Own Motion Investigation Team (OMI)
The Own Motion Investigation Team is responsible for the investigation of own initiative projects and major systemic issues.
The Investigation Unit has a total of nine (9) staff. There are six (6) senior investigators, two (2) supervisors and a Director who manages the Unit.
